Delray Beach Bungalow
The interior of this 1.200 s.f. stand-alone bungalow nestled in a condo community located just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean was fully gutted and remodeled. All flat ceilings were raised, and the main living space now includes the kitchen, which was heretofore buried. Every inch of the space, including the attic, was made usable; all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems replaced, and cabinetry and finishes redone. Special thanks to James Drago, Architect, who shared his knowledge of local codes and processes.

“Dan took a very small, cramped space and turned it into a superb small home for our retirement. The bright beachy theme manages to feel comfortable, stylish, and spacious. We needed to maximize storage and living space and Dan and Sam managed that without making it cluttered.
The details are tasteful and appropriate and blend together to keep the bungalow cohesive and restful. Visitors admire our Big Chill appliances, but they are a challenge to design around; Dan and Sam managed that by complementing the strong colors with exactly the right countertop and backsplash. The bamboo floors, which are unusual in Florida, warm up the space in a way that no tile could. With no room for a dedicated laundry room, he managed to give us a laundry area in the hall bathroom that does not encroach or take away from that space’s look or efficacy. Overall, this design created a home that we will enjoy and value for decades to come.”
